Back on track!

Flattr this!

So, after a prolonged setback, I finally managed to compile the client using XNA 4. That means that development is now back on track, and I’m going to be debugging some network issues with the client before attempting to pull everything together to a release! 😀
The neat thing about this is that we probably (hopefully) have a working Monogame client as well, but I haven’t dared to try to run it yet, due to Monogame’s inherently unstable nature.

  1. Congratulations!!!!

I’m so excited to play The Sims Online, and you makes a good work. Thanks!
Can I add you in Facebook? (I’m friend of Andrew).

  2. Even if it’s just the ability to create a sim and submit it to the server, GOOD WORK!, I wish/pray every week that by some miracle you’d finally get a jump on this game’s code and finally bring it somewhat closer to a playable perfect replica of the real TSO and get it working properly, so far so good, this year the character creation and server working, and hopefully by next year, the gameplay, player interections and house building on lots working! WOHOOO! good job! 😀

  3. Fantastic!
Great job, man. I can’t wait to get into this game.

When I was younger I used to play The Sims and The Sims 2. But I never knew that The Sims Online or EA Land even existed.

I really feel like I have missed out on something very fun. Hopefully, this will give me a second chance not to be so blind 🙂

  4. Your incredible Afr0!!! This is incredible news!!!! I can’t wait…. I’ve been waiting for this for over 5 years! All Hail!!!! 😉

  5. I love you man! Now with The Sims Social out of sight, i’m hoping EA doesn’t bother screwing things up again. Thank you so much for your time and effort!

    • There’s no “beta”. What you’re thinking about is the first milestone. It was supposed to have been released in September, but has been delayed to October.
